Hourieh Rasouli
Bio
Hourieh Rasouli (b. 1987 Tehan) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores language, communication and the formation and displacement of meaning through painting, sculpture and installation.
By combining words, images and diverse materials, she examines the instability of language, the possibility of misunderstanding, and the limits of communication between individuals. Her work investigates how meaning is shaped by personal experience and social conditions, particularly in contexts where shared meanings are manipulated or distorted, giving rise to feelings of distance, mistrust and isolation.
Through processes of destruction, reconstruction and experimentation, Rasouli creates works that remain between recognition and uncertainty, inviting viewers to reconsider the relationships between what they see, what they read, and what they understand.
